HITCO is licensed to import, export and distribute Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), which is mainly used for cooking, lighting, industrial applications amongst many other uses.
Inorder to meet the growing consumer demand for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, HITCO now aspires to construct and operationalize an LPG bottling plant in Zambia with a storage capacity of 1,070 Cum and dispatches filled cylinders to residents through reputed dealers from the LPG distribution center to be located in Ndola, Zambia. We are looking at a capacity of 40 tons per shift per day. Amounts of 11 kg, 22 kg and 44 kg can then be filled at an average of about 2000 cylinders in each shift. Storage tanks of 600 tons capacity will be installed, and provisions made to store liquefied petroleum gas for bulk users, such as hotels, catering, factories and owners of residential property. HITCO will incorporate state-of-the-art equipment. As a stakeholder in the petroleum industry, safety is the prime consideration, with safety measures meeting all relevant international standards and regulations by Government Authorities. This applies to storage and filling areas, as well as loading cylinders for distribution. Other precautions shall include a tamper-proof, heat-shrink seal on each cylinder. HITCO will continue to be a leading partner in shaping and ensuring implementation of these regulations and requirements.
